Out of the Old
This past week has been a flurry of activity in and out of the headquarters for Idylwilde Flies. We’ve been moving the smaller items, and prepping the larger items all week. Our server was shut down, phones were unplugged and we were basically off the grid.
Rolling Thunder
Friday morning my thermometer read 18 degrees, but it was the day scheduled to move the big stuff so we brought the thunder; Mychael Thunder that is. Mychael operates Thunder Movers, a local Portland, Oregon based moving company who, with his crew of problem solvers got after it. We had plenty of heavy shelving, desks, file cabinets, and lots of important inventory to move down one skinny stairwell. This crew did not complain and worked tirelessly for 7 hours fueled by a desire to serve and donuts.
Oh- She's wedged
The two trucks were loaded and the tired crew made the drive to our new space. The new space is very efficient, warm, and easy to access. After filling up on some pizza, we began the unload process. What took 7 hours to load, took all of an hour and a half to unload. Amazing! If you are in the greater Portland area and need a recommendation for a moving company, please consider Thunder Movers. Because of their hard work, we were able to spend the weekend setting up the new space with shelving.

We have returned the inventory to their rightful spaces. The offices are outfitted and the IT stuff has been set up. So we are proud to let you all know we are back up and running as projected. Now we’re excited to settle in and move forward.
Aloha Idylwilde … I’ve watched with interest as you move your thousands of flies. It seems like an “awesome” undertaking, but you’ve triumphed once again! Congratulations on a smooth move … wish I had been given a job to help you out!!!!

Judy…thank you. You’re cheerful spirit would have been nice to have around this week as we settle in and work out the kinks.
